Of the total fatalities, 96 were laboratory-confirmed measles cases, according to the latest bulletin from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the same period, 996 new suspected cases and 79 confirmed cases were reported, raising the total number of suspected infections to 126,540 and confirmed cases to 15,739.
In response to the rapidly spreading outbreak, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has vaccinated more than 18.48 million children nationwide since April and is continuing the immunisation campaign.
Measles is a highly contagious viral disease that affects people of all ages and remains one of the leading causes of death among young children worldwide.
Meanwhile, three more people died from dengue during the same 24-hour period, raising the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease to 50.
A total of 534 new dengue patients were hospitalised during the period, taking the total number of hospitalisations to 14,690.
