Didar A. Husain, a founding trustee of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), has been re-elected as Chairman of the IUB Board of Trustees (BoT) for a two-year term covering 2026-27.
Currently, he is the Chairman of Rahim Textile Mills Limited. He serves as the MD and Chairman of PCS BD Private Limited and Cannon Pest Management BD, respectively.
The Education, Science, Technology, and Cultural Development Trust (ESTCDT), the founding trust of IUB, announced the election and formation of the BoT for the 2026-27 term on December 23, 2025.
The other members of the board include A.K. Ashraf Uddin Ahmed, Dr. Husne Ara Ali, A. Matin Chowdhury, Rashed Chowdhury, Ismail Dobash, Javed Hosein, Mirza Salman Ispahani, Altamash Kabir, Aminur Reza Khan, Mohammad Zakaria Khan, Yasmine Z. Mahmud, Wajid Ali Khan Panni, Saifur Rahman, Towhid Samad, Abdul Hai Sarker, and Altaf Hossain Sarker.
