Fire at 14-storey Haji Tower in Armanitola

A fire that broke out on Tuesday at Haji Tower, a 14-storey commercial cum residential building in the Babubazar area of Armanitola in Old Dhaka, was brought under control, reports BSS.
Nine firefighting units rushed to the scene within five minutes after the fire originated on the sixth floor of the building at around 06:40 am and doused the blaze at around 07:20am.
Fire Service and Civil Defence Asst Director Kazi Nazmuz- zaman said this while briefing reporters at the scene.
