Syed Shahjahan, senior journalist and permanent member of the National Press Club, passed away at a city hospital on Friday. He was 75.
He had been suffering from various health complications for a long time.
Syed Shahjahan was buried at Kalshi Graveyard on the day after his namaz-e-janaza at Journalist Residential Area Jame Masjid at Mirpur.
He left behind his wife, and three daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Syed Shahjahan last worked at The Financial Express as a news consultant.
During his long career as journalist, he also served in the now defunct The People and the Bangladesh Times.
