Rampura building catches fire

A fire broke out in a residential building in Rampura area of the capital on Thursday.

However, there was no report of casualties in the fire incident.

An official at the Fire Service and Civil Defense office told the FE that the fire incident took place at Banasree at around 12:28pm.

On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the flames at around 13:15pm.

The fire service official further said that the fire originated from an electric short circuit in the house.

The extent of damage in the fire will be ascertained after completion of the investigation, he adds.
