Hasina, Quader, 429 others sued in Bogura

BOGURA, Mar 22 (BSS): A case was filed against 431 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader for allegedly attempting to murder Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal activist Zakirul Islam during July-August mass uprising.

Zakirul filed the case with Bogura Sadar Police Station, naming 181 people and 250 unnamed others on March 16. Confirming the matter to the news agency, Bogura Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) (investigation) said the further action will be taken after investigation.

The other prominent accused in the case are Bogura district Awami League president and former lawmaker Mojibur Rahman Mojnu, general secretary and former lawmaker Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, district Jatiya Party president and former lawmaker Shariful Islam Jinnah, and Awami League leader Monjurul Alam Mohon.
