BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia reached London on Sunday on a personal tour for her medical treatment, reports UNB.
A regular flight of Emirates Airlines carrying Khaleda Zia landed at the Heathrow Airport around 12:50 pm (BD times), her media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told the news agency.
Khaleda's eldest son and BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman along with UK chapter leaders and activists of the party received her at the airport.
Earlier, Khaleda left Dhaka for London at about 7:35 pm on Saturday. The Emirate flight had a stopover for two hours in Dubai at midnight.
This is her third trip to London since she left office in 2007 as she visited the UK in 2015, in 2011 and in 2008 to receive treatment and met her son, who has long been living there.
A leader of BNP's UK chapter said Zia family will have a reunion after nearly two years in London as Khaleda is going to stay at the residence of Tarique where his wife, daughter and late brother Arafat Rahman Koko's wife and two daughters reside.
