NCP marches towards Indian HC seeking justice for Felani killing

Police have stopped the National Citizens Party's (NCP) 'Anti-Hegemony March' as it advanced toward the Indian High Commission (HC), demanding justice for Felani Khatun, who was killed at the border.
Dhaka Metropolitan North unit of NCP organised the the programme to mark the 15th anniversary of killing of Bangladeshi teenager Felani by gunfire from the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).
NCP leaders and activists gathered in Shahjadpur of the capital on Wednesday afternoon.
They started marching toward the Indian High Commission situated in Baridhara.
Police halted the march with barricades before it could reach the High Commission.
Then, NCP leaders and activists gathered on Kurilmukhi Road, chanting slogans and giving speeches.
The slogans included "Delhi or Dhaka-Dhaka, Dhaka," "Felani on the barbed wire-we have not forgotten you," and "Stop Indian aggression-people are power."
As the NCP leaders and supporters could not move forward due to the police blockade.
