The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 has deferred to January 26 the delivery of its verdict in the case over the killing of six people during the July Uprising of 2024 in the capital's Chankharpul, report agencies.

The three-member bench of the tribunal led by its Chairman Justice Golam Mortuza Mozumder, fixed the new date for the verdict on Tuesday, saying it could not be prepared as scheduled.

Earlier, the tribunal had set January 20 for delivering the verdict.
