MADARIPUR, June 20 (BSS): Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said on Saturday BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia returned home failing miserably in movement.
The minister passed the remarks while addressing the student reception ceremony at the Asmat Ali Khan School and College here.
Commenting on the statement of BNP chairperson where she had said Awami League (AL) would be fragmented after coming down from power, Shajahan Khan said: "AL didn't split in 21 years when it was outside the government, rather the party has continued its fight against the anti-liberation forces during the period, and is now implementing the spirit of liberation war after assuming power."
Praising Bangladesh Cricket team for the victory against India, the minister hoped Bangladesh would win World Cup in future.
Deputy Commissioner of Madaripur GSM Zafarullah and Zila Parishad administrator Miazuddin Khan also spoke on the occasion with Sadar upazila chairman Pavelur Rahman Shafiq in the chair.
