Billings boosts Sylhet ahead of BPL Eliminator

Sylhet Titans have received a major boost ahead of their Eliminator clash against Rangpur Riders today (Tuesday) in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) with the arrival of England batter Sam Billings, reports BSS.
The team losing the Eliminator will be knocked out of the race for the BPL final, while the winner will advance to Qualifier-2, where they will face the loser of Qualifier-1 for a place in the final.
"Sylhet Titans confirm the arrival of England batter Sam Billings in Dhaka ahead of the BPL playoffs. Billings has joined the squad as the team enters the decisive phase of the tournament," the franchise said in a press release on Monday.
"His availability adds experience and tactical depth to the Titans' line-up at a time when clarity, composure and execution matter most. The team management has completed all required formalities in line with tournament regulations," the release added.
Billings brings a wealth of T20 experience, having played 394 matches and scored 7,442 runs at a strike rate of 133.68,
including 36 half-centuries. He has also represented England in 37 T20 Internationals.
Meanwhile, former England all-rounder Chris Woakes joined Sylhet Titans' practice session on Sunday ahead of the remainder of the BPL.
Two other England players, Moeen Ali and Ethan Brooks, have already linked up with the squad and featured in several matches.
