Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana said on Wednesday that their humiliating defeat in the just-concluded three-match ODI series against Australia is a warning sign for them ahead of the forthcoming T20 World Cup at home, reports Cricbuzz.

Bangladesh were flying high following their recent success against India, Pakistan and South Africa but that reigning champions proved unbeatable as the hosts were humbled in every game by embarrassing margins. Bangladesh failed to cross 100 runs in any game of the three-match series, making 95, 97 and 89 runs that exposed their batting.

"I am totally surprised because we have not played this kind of cricket for the last six months. You can accept mistake in one or two areas but the whole team played differently that put us on the backfoot. We were not even 10 per cent close to our ability," Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana said after their disappointing show in the series.
