ICSB hosts training on bancassurance

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) organised a training on 'Mastering Bancassurance: Strategy, Compliance and Business Development' held at BIM in Dhaka on Saturday, aiming to enhance the knowledge and skills of its members, students and corporate officials and other professionals.

Md. Shabbirul Alam Chowdhury, Secretary & Chief Executive Officerof ICSB, delivered the welcome speech and moderated the session, says a press statement.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Training Coordinator and Council Member of ICSB, inaugurated the training session and introduced the resource persons and outlined the objectives of the training.

The session was conducted by Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Faculty Member of Bangladesh Insurance Academy; Md. Apel Mahmud, Member (Life) of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA); Dr. Hasina Sheykh, Professor, Department of Banking & Insurance of University of Dhaka; and Ali Reza Iftekhar, former Managing Director of Eastern Bank PLC.

A good number of ICSB members, students and senior officials from country's leading corporate houses, different professionals attended the training programme.

Hossain Sadat, President of ICSB, handed over the certificates to the participants at the closing session.
