Prime Insurance gets approval to conduct Sharia-based business

Following its application to conduct Islamic Sharia-based insurance business, Prime Insurance Company Limited has received approval from the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC), the Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE), the Chittagong Stock Exchange PLC (CSE), and other regulatory bodies.

The IDRA issued a new registration certificate to the company under the name Prime Islami Insurance PLC on February 18, says a press statement.

Chief Executive Officer of the company Abdul Hamid handed over the registration certificate to its Chairman Mohammad Sahadet Hossain at the company's head office recently.
