Chairman of Square Textiles PLC Tapan Chowdhury presides over the 30th annual general meeting (AGM) of the company on Monday. Square Textiles PLC declared a 32% cash dividend for its shareholders for the year ended June 30, 2025, at its 30th annual general meeting (AGM) held virtually on Monday.
The company's Chairman Tapan Chowdhury presided over the AGM, says a press statement.
Ratna Patra, Vice Chairman, Samuel S Chowdhury, Managing Director, Anjan Chowdhury, Director, Muhammadul Haque, Independent Director, Md. Kabir Reza, Head of A&F, Aminur Rahman, CFO, and Sanjib Baran Roy, Company Secretary, were present in the meeting.
The company has reported a turnover of Tk 22.65 billion, gross profit of Tk 3.03 billion, and net profit (after tax) of Tk 1.27 billion for the year ending 30 June 2025.
The company's turnover, gross profit and net profit saw year-on-year growths of 19.67%, 30.00% and 17.67%, respectively.
The company contributed Tk 324.50 million to the national exchequer.
At the AGM, the Board of Directors appreciated the performance of the officers, staff and workers whose untiring efforts helped to optimise the profit of the company.
The Directors also expressed their gratitude and acknowledged with keen interest the co-operation and unflinching support received from various agencies, including the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission, Stock Exchanges, National Board of Revenue, and other agencies of the public and private sector.
Many shareholders took part in the discussion on the company's performance and future expansion.
At the end, Chairman Tapan Chowdhury expressed his deep appreciation to shareholders for their trust and support of the company's performance.
