BASIS joins IT exhibition in Japan

Around 21 member companies of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) participated in the Japan IT Week 2024 that began in Tokyo on Wednesday.

Japan IT Week is the largest IT exhibition in Japan being held at Tokyo Big Sight. The BASIS members have joined the event in collaboration with Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, reports UNB.

During this trade show, the BASIS members will participate in B2B meetings, seminars, and networking events to expand business with different countries.

In addition, participating stalls will highlight the capabilities of Bangladesh's IT sector by informing about their IT products and services and branding IT sector of Bangladesh. Besides, this meeting will play an important role in creating a bond between investors and IT professionals, according to a press release.

As a part of Japan IT Week 2024, a seminar titled "Digital Bangladesh: Your IT Destination" was organised on Wednesday.

At the seminar, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan, gave a welcome address while GSM Jafarullah, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, also delivered a speech. Dr. Ariful Haque, Minister (Commerce), Embassy of Bangladesh, Tokyo, and Rejwanur Kabir, COO of Destiny Inc., gave a slide presentation.

In the seminar, speakers said that Bangladesh is the next destination for investors in the field of ICT.

Some 16 member companies of BASIS are showcasing their services at the Bangladesh Pavilion in the Japan IT Week 2024. They are Binate Solutions Ltd., Edusoft Consultants Limited, Brain Station 23 Plc., Fronture Technologies Ltd., Nascenia Limited, STITBD, Penta Global Limited, NanoSoft System, Hello World Communications Ltd., bdcalling IT Ltd., Dream Online Limited, Kawaii Advanced Technology & Solution Ltd., Intellier Ltd., BJIT Limited, Attrabit ICT Solutions and Revo Interactive.
