IFIC Bank distributes loans among Covid-hit micro entrepreneurs

Salman F Rahman, MP, chairman of IFIC Bank and Private Sector Industry and Investment Adviser to the Prime Minister, speaking through a video conference at an inaugural function of IFIC Bank's loan assistance programme on 'Shohoj Rin' as per Bangladesh Bank's special incentive scheme to registered small business owners of Bangladesh Shop Owners' Association who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic

IFIC Bank Limited has started distribution of sanctioned amount of loans to small traders under the Cottage, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (CMSME) bailout package announced by the government, said a press release.

The Bank started providing loan assistance namely 'Shohoj Rin' as per Bangladesh Bank's special incentive scheme among registered small business owners of Bangladesh Shop Owners' Association who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Salman F Rahman, MP, chairman of IFIC Bank and Private Sector Industry and Investment Adviser to the Prime Minister, inaugurated the event through digital platform.

The programmeme was also attended, among others. Md Helal Uddin, president of Bangladesh Shop Owners' Association, Shah A Sarwar, managing director and CEO, IFIC Bank Limited.
