JANATA BANK LAUNCHES 'FOREIGN REMITTANCE SERVICE MONTH'

Janata Bank PLC has launched the 'Foreign Remittance Service Month' to mark the July mass uprising anniversary. Dr. Ahsan H Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, inaugurated the Service Month virtually at the inauguration ceremony held at the bank's head office on Wednesday. Ambassador of Bangladesh to the UAE Tarek Ahmed; Chairman of Janata Bank Md Fazlur Rahman; Managing Director Md Mazibur Rahman; and Deputy Managing Directors and Golam Mortuza, Md. Nazrul Islam and Ashraful Alam attended the inauguration ceremony. Under this facility, expatriates residing in the United Arab Emirates can send up to 1,500 dirhams to Bangladesh through Janata Bank without any charges.
