Sonali Bank PLC has launched the 'TakaPay' card as a part of the National Card Scheme under the initiative of Bangladesh Bank. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially inaugurated this National Card Scheme at her official residence Ganobhaban on Wednesday. CEO & Managing Director of Sonali Bank Md. Afzal Karim and other officials attended the ceremony virtually. At the event, a garment worker and customer of Sonali Bank deposited his monthly installment of National Pension Scheme using 'TakaPay' card.
